Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-12

Beta disclaimer

Tendly is in beta. This means:

  • The service may have bugs, downtime, or data loss. We do our best to prevent these, but they may happen.
  • Features may change, be removed, or break without notice during the beta.
  • There is no SLA (service-level agreement). We don't guarantee uptime.
  • There is no warranty. Use Tendly at your own risk.

By using Tendly during the beta, you acknowledge these risks.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Tendly only for lawful family-coordination purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use Tendly for illegal activity (harassment, fraud, copyright infringement, etc.)
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages through Tendly's integrations
  • Abuse the service (excessive API calls, denial of service, etc.)
  • Impersonate other people or families in Tendly
  • Reverse-engineer Tendly's AI model or training data

If you violate these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account.

Your account

You're responsible for:

  • Keeping your password (or passkey, if using passkey auth) secure
  • All activity that happens under your account
  • Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access

You can delete your account anytime. Deletion is permanent after 30 days (to allow for accidental-deletion recovery).

Account suspension / termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these terms
  • You abuse the service
  • We're required to do so by law

If we suspend your account, we'll email you 7 days before (unless the violation is severe or illegal). You can appeal by emailing support@tendly.family.

Limitation of liability

Tendly is a coordination tool, not a guarantee. We are not liable for:

  • Missed school pickups, doctor appointments, or other events (Tendly is a reminder, not a replacement for your attention)
  • Incorrect information extracted from emails or calendars (AI makes mistakes; verify important details)
  • Data loss during the beta (export your data regularly)
  • Downtime or service interruptions (no SLA during beta)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which, during the beta, is $0).

Intellectual property

You own your data. We own the Tendly service, the brand, the AI models, the documentation, and the design system. You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the Tendly service.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll email you 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Tendly after that constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Change log

  • 2026-07-12 — Initial terms (beta launch).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Tendly's operating entity is registered (placeholder for the beta — we'll fill this in once we incorporate). Until then, disputes will be resolved under the laws applicable to the user's country of residence.
